Mission

Indie Films and Books is written for people who care about the arts, particularly films and books—and believe that indie artists consistent deliver the highest art and creativity in their industries . We encourage our readers to submit stories and blogs here, indie film reviews, indy book reviews, independent business news for both film and book industries (excluding conglomerate film or book industry news), indie artist viewpoints and profile features. Join our citizen’s journalist movement to help bring you the latest news on independent films and books!

What we cover

We began as a publication focused on independent book publishers, debut authors, and indie film makers. As we grew with larger and more active audiences, our mission grew to include some of our most popular categories—we call them “beats”—including:

  1. I am particularly interested in an indie film that played quite awhile in August or September at Keystone in Indianapolis. I believe it was published as a book as well. I didn’t get to see it, so I’ll just have to forget it!
